Manual & Specification for the Big John

The Carl Martin Big John is a regulated power supply unit which transforms line level AC power to low voltage 9v DC.  The Big John was designed specifically to be used with guitar and bass effects pedals, but can be used with any electronic appliance which requires 9v DC power. There are seven outlets on the Big John allowing you to connect up to seven different pedals/appliances. Before connecting any electronic device to the Big John, please consult the owner’s manual to ensure you are connecting the unit with the correct voltage, cable and polarity.  Carl Martin cannot be held responsible for damages or injury if electronics are attached incorrectly.  Big John is supplied with seven attachment cables which will work on most pedals…..different cable lengths, polarities and connections are available through your dealer.  See below for LED Function Indicator lights…

Accessories: CIOKS Flex in lengths of 15, 30 or 50cm,  with DC- or Jack-plug are available through your Carl Martin dealer. Furthermore the 30 and 50cm Flex are available with a reverse polarity DC-plug or a 9V battery clip.
