COMBINATOR 2Il Carl Martin Combinator 2 è stato disegnato per quei chitarristi che usano molti pedali, ed hanno l'esigenza di combinarli insieme . Il Combinator 2 non è un effetto programmabile midi ma è un sistema per "swicciare" più pedali contemporaneamente che sono collegati ad esso. Ogni pedale è collegato al Combinator 2 attraverso un send ed un return ed è assegnabile ad un gruppo; premendo un programma il Combinator 2 usa tutti i pedeli che abbiamo assegnato ad esso. Se ad esempio abbiamo assegnato al programma I un Chorus, un Delay ed un Wha, premendo questo programma avremo i 3 pedali già combinati insieme senza doverli accendere tutti e 3.

La programmazione è molto semplice. Il Combinator 2 è dotato di 8 alimentatori a 9 volt, uno per ogni pedale collegato.

The Carl Martin Combinator 2 was designed and developed in response to many requests from guitar players who use lots of effects pedals, but are frustrated by having to press several footswitches in order to turn multiple pedals on and off. The Combinator 2 is a non-midi programmable effects switching system that handles up to eight pedals. Each pedal is connected to one of eight individual effects loops (loop 7 with stereo return, and loop 8 with stereo send/return), and then assigned to one or more of 18 groups. Pushing the program switch for a group simultaneously engages all of the pedals assigned to it. So if, say, you have a fuzz, a wah, and a chorus assigned to program switch 1, pressing that switch will turn them all on or off. The Combinator 2 is a three-bank device each with six programs. The Combinator 2 also features a master mute switch, a tuner output jack, and three channel external switching using loop programming switch one, two and three, connected to three individual jack plugs, the loops can be used simultaneously i.e. if loop one is used for external switching, and a pedal is in loop one, that loop is activated when the external switching is used.

Programming is a snap. Just select bank press one of the program buttons, press the soft buttons corresponding to the pedals or/and external switches you want to include, press store, and you're done. The Combinator 2 also features a power supply, providing eight individual 9-volt taps, one for each pedal.

Please Notice:
The Combinator is primarily designed for Carl Martin pedals, but can also be used with other pedals with low impendant output (BOSS, - Ibanez, - DOD i.e.) some older effects and wah pedals are high impendant output, these requires a low impendant converter, or a low impendant pedal in series.

The 9-Volt taps are hot on the ring (Boss, - Ibanez standard)

Always press a program button, before connecting it to the amp, all the loops are activated after power has been taken. If one or more of loops 1,2 & 3 is used for external switching, and a pedal is in either one of the loops, that loop is activated when the external switching is engaged, say you use loop 1 to shift channel on your amp, and you know you will use a specific pedal every time you're on that channel, you can place that pedal in the loop.
