Carl Martin Contour & Boost è un boost ed un contour realizzato per chitarra. Il Contour & Boost ha una circuitazione lineare e di elevata qualità. Il suono è molto chiaro ed i medi sono enfatizzati.

Il Contour & Boost è realizzato con 2 filtri: High Pass (low cut) and Low Pass (high cut) . Il filtro High Pass opera da 65Hz a 440Hz, il filtro Low Pass da 440Hz a 8kHz.

Ogni filtro è separato ed ha un gain di 12dB. Con questi 2 filtri è possibile cambiare il suono (contour) in qualsiasi modo la vostra creatività lo richiede.

Il Contour & Boost come altri pedali della Carl Martin è alimentato direttamente in rete e ciò permette una alta qualità del segnale. Usate sempre questo pedale alla fine della catena ed avrete il massimo della resa sonora. Il Contour & Boost è anche adatto per registrare in diretta simulando l'effetto ampli: la chitarra può entrare in linea su banco o direttamente su scheda audio, senza uso di speaker simulator o altro.

General Guidelines on the use of the Contour & Boost:

Carl Martin Contour & Boost is especially designed to boost up, and change the sound (contour) of electric guitar/bass. The Contour & Boost circuitry is of phase linear design, using high quality components. This ensures sonic clarity and midrange emphasis which is so important for electric guitar.
The Contour & Boost is designed as a High Pass (low cut) and Low Pass (high cut) filter, with a fixed X-over frequency at 440Hz. The High Pass filter operates from 65Hz to 440Hz, and the Low Pass filter from 440Hz to 8kHz. Both filters are individually sweepable, with a boost range of up to 12dB. With these two filters it is possible to change the sound (contour) in any way your creativity allows you.
The Contour & Boost has a built in, regulated (+-12V) power supply which enables us to design circuitry of the highest quality with maximum headroom. Please note that when using this unit with other effect devices, always place the Contour & Boost after any distortion units, otherwise the distortion unit will limit what you can achieve w ith the Contour & Boost.

The Contour & Boost has shown to be very suitable for direct recording on tape or PC, just set it up like this: GUITAR to EFFECTS to CONTOUR & BOOST to LINE DRIVER and into the desk or PC, try out with the suggested sample setting and work your way from there.
